AlumerciA was originally designed and constructed in 2001 to sail the World. And she did. No less than 250.000 Nm were logged before the current owner decided that she could very well fit the need of a young family and friends weekend hide out.

The owner of AlumerciA explains; “When I first saw her in Monaco yacht show 2013, many ideas came up to refit her and transforming her into a Med cruiser vessel look. We started the refit project in mid March 2014 and finished in 100 days. In an era where time is my ultimate luxury this was of great importance to me”.

After winning the International Superyacht Society Design Awards for best motor yacht 32-43m in 2000, winning this year’s World Superyacht Awards in the category ‘Best refit’ was a crowning glory. The jury commented; “This yacht had in the judges’ opinion, been transformed into an attractively decorated young person’s Mediterranean family cruiser, with disco sound and light on three decks, and a very practical dual purpose beach area/garage in the stern – all in three months.”

The refit was managed by the captain of AlumerciA and Vripack. The captain took care of all aspects on the work-shop-floor and Vripack on the design, naval architecture and engineering. In only three months they jointly achieved a major refit of the yacht, bringing her into a new generation of owners.

AlumerciA has a timeless design and I think she’s more elegant than ever

Owner of AlumerciA

On the interior we kept the main foundation of the elements however upgraded all covers, doors, floors and ceilings. The bridge got a complete make over fitting a stunning interior in terms of materials, art pieces, technology and quality.

For this purpose the car-drawer, which held a custom Toyota in the aft ship, was replaced by a beach club with an innovative passarelle. The aft tender garage on the bridge deck was dismantled and replaced by a complete open party deck including a DJ turntable bar. The flybridge deck was re-arranged and almost extended with 30 m2 so that the Jacuzzi now is the central hang out and sunbathing can be done in open air and full privacy.

“AlumerciA has a timeless design and I think she’s more elegant than ever”, her owner concludes.
